EDM Challenge #76 Draw some flowers

Okay, yes, I'm addicted to dark backgrounds. Next drawing I'm going
to try to not use one. This one is actually dark brown, not black. And
the flowers are small. The text is scanning kind of bad, kind of hard to
read. It says, "Suddenly I turned around and she was standing there,
with silver bracelets on her wrists and flowers in her hair."
.
It's from the song "Shelter from the Storm"

EDM Challenge #260 Draw a filled suitcase

I had wanted to do a vintage suitcase for a long time and
just hoped someone would put it on the list of challenges.
I wanted to put a dog on top of the suitcase. But since it said a
"filled suitcase" I just put him inside of it.

The lyrics are from "Tonight I'll Be Staying Here with You"

EDM Challenge #7 Draw a bottle

Okay well, kind of simple. Not a lot to say, just a few simple bottles. Oh and the moleskine started to split. That's why the big black line is in the center. I'll fix it.
.
The lyrics are from "Restless Farewell"

EDM Challenge #8~~ Draw jewelry

Painting silver might be easier. I've never tried
it before. This was colored pencils and some paint.
.
The lyrics are from "Isis". I had hoped to get these
lines in, but it was too much: "I was thinking about
turquoise, I was thinking about gold. I was thinking
about diamonds and the world's biggest necklace."
.
I will probably work on the lettering later. Maybe.

EDM Challenge #43 Draw something china or ceramic

Okay, here's the story. This was the first song I ever heard
that made me realize that songs could actually be about
real things. Even tragic things. This is in some ways my
favorite song for that reason. My best friend in high school
had been given several Bob Dylan albums because she was
such a fan of "Like a Rolling Stone". She didn't like any of
the albums because they weren't the rock style he was playing then...
they were older albums. She gave them to me. I can still remember
sitting on my bed listening to this song and being dumbfounded
by the story it told. The innocence of youth.
.
The song is "The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll" which is the
true story of a Haitian woman's murder. If you'd like to read the
.
And speaking of Haitians, you can donate easily to the Haitians now
by texting the word HAITI to 20222 and $10.00 will be billed to
your phone bill and sent to the relief fund. This is the Clinton
Foundation. He is special envoy to Haiti. Please excuse me if you
already knew this.
.
As to the drawing...can't get it to scan right but I'm posting it anyway.
It's showing things that aren't there.
C'est la vie!

EDM Challenge #140 Draw an envelope

I'm in an artistic funk. This one has been hanging around
for a while. I decided something is better than nothing,
even if I'm not totally happy with it. So here it is.
.
The lyrics are from "Boots of Spanish Leather".
