EDM Challenge #8~~ Draw jewelry

Painting silver might be easier. I've never tried
it before. This was colored pencils and some paint.
.
The lyrics are from "Isis". I had hoped to get these
lines in, but it was too much: "I was thinking about
turquoise, I was thinking about gold. I was thinking
about diamonds and the world's biggest necklace."
.
I will probably work on the lettering later. Maybe.

Wow! There is so much that I like about this piece. The skin tone is terrific. The necklace is amazing. And as for the fabric, well I would like at least a yard. Well done, my friend.

I would love to see your finished sketchbook. Mine is so haphazard with some good drawings, some bad, and some complete on the page, and some incomplete. I really like the patterns in this one! And I find the dark to be so interesting.

what a beautifully drawn necklace. I love the way it pops out against the black background. The shading is spot on. Lovely!

I love your drawings. What artistic ways to do the EDM challenges. I love the shadows and lights in this piece.

Lynn, Alex, Jolene and Donna...thank you so much. Your comments are always so important.

Dan, my stuff is just different than yours. You're doing wonderful watercolors, working all the time to learn and change and grow. I'm just doing illustrations that come to me. Those two things are so different. If I do a bad page (and I DO) I just paint it out and start over. I DO have lots of lousy pages. But they'll be covered up by the end of the week. I'm kind of determined to do this whole Moleskine in only the Dylan series. After that...who knows?
.
Thank you Louise, Nanke, Cathy, raena, Kate and Ramona. It's funny how input is so important, isn't it? I surely do appreciate it.

This last drawing is gorgeous - but, really, all your drawings are. Love the rich colors and details on this one. Love the one with the fantastic cups, for the Hattie Carrol song, and the "Deck of Cards", too, is awesome.
Your art is unique and a joy to come and admire!

Oh raena, you''re so sweeeeet! I have just been very busy and drained energy-wise so I haven' been able to get anything finished. I have a drawing in work, but it needs working on. Every night I look at it, say "phooey" and put it away. But I'll finish it this week. By Sunday.
.
Thank you so much for asking, raena. I appreciate it like crazy.
