EDM Challenge #163 Draw a deck of cards

I just am squeaking by on this one.
Not whole deck of cards, but just a drawing of two cards.
.
The lyrics are from "Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts".

More terrific work. The skin tones are soooooo good. And I continue to be amazed by your marriage of Dylan's lyrics and EDM challenges. Way to go!

I love the transition from the card face to real people...gives me thoughts and a variety of interpretations. I think I would need to hear the song to think about it...Nice colors!

Pattie, for the most part these aren't illustration of the songs. They're just an EDM drawing I could link to an BD lyric. Might be fun one day to really illustrate the songs, but for now that's not what I'm doing. Does this make any sense? But I love that you have thoughts about it!

This image fascinates me. The tri-profiles, one stylized card guy and two beautifully rendered women. This seems to be ripe with meaning - so the success of this piece is that the viewer (me) will think about this well beyond. Like everyone else I love the connection with Dylan lyrics, but what is rocking my world is your sense of design, your use of patterns and the deft arrangement of color in the composition.

Gary, you are so kind. I'll bet you are a wonderful teacher, with such descriptive comments. It really does help me analyze my own work (and others' when I read what you say about their work) and see what I've done, sometimes just instinctively and sometimes with a plan.

Oops, Gary...I left off the "Thank you" from that message! Thank you!
