I decided to begin drawing again, following a list of challenges on a Yahoo group called "Everyday Matters". I wanted tight restrictions on myself, to stay focused I guess, so I decided to draw only things on that list that I could connect to a Bob Dylan lyric. So the only text that I'll include on my drawings will be lyrics. And I'll list the song the lyric is from. So here we go...

What amazing texture and light you have created!
Hi Ellen,
I love the colors in your art and am a huge Dylan fan. When I was in high school my brother played Dylan all night long. I'm now pushing 60 and still love him and his lyrics.

I love how the faces just blend right into the background, and the determined expression on the first woman. There is a sense of mystery about it: Is it mother and daughter? Is it portraying the furthering of a purpose, or a stubborn difference of opinion?
Très jolie interprétation et bel hommage à la femme.
Bisous
fantastic use of background colors =) this is brilliant Ellen!
First of all, THANK YOU BarbaraB, Vicki, Dan Martine and Alex for your kind comments.
.
Secondly, I thought, after I had posted this that it would really work for another song called "My Back Pages" where one line is "But I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now". But there's no EDM chalenge I could connect to it anyway, so this is just fine..
Dan, I wasn't sure who they were either...I just wanted them very different. But I did imagine a lot of things as I drew it. Fun.

oooh...love this! You have a great imagination!
Thank you Raena!!!
